Oh Deer!

The biggest challenge I currently face in my garden is the herd of deer that visit on a daily basis. On many evenings I look out my back windows to see 6-8 deer browsing in my yard. 2023 was the worst year yet for deer damage. In a single night they ate three hydrangea bushes almost to the ground. It seems that they will try just about any plant I put out. This year in preparation for the Garden Walk I am on militant deer watch. I am putting out deer repellent in granular form and spraying plant foliage weekly. I found a small tree in my side yard that was rubbed by the antlers of a passing buck. He seems to think this is his territory. Game on!
